Cro Cop defeat Tatsuy Mizun

Cro Cop defeat Tatsuy Mizun by KO in the Second Minute

In is first fight for the Japanese organisation Dream, Mirko Filipovic triumphed in the first round by knockout against Tatsuy Mizun.

After the bad adventure in the UFC, Croatian fighter Mirko Filipovic, aka Cro Cop, has returned to Japan where, in his first fight for the Dream organisation, he defeated Tatsuy Mizun.

With music by Duran Duran and well known “Wild Boys”, the atmosphere was thrilling at the Saitama Arena. Mirko Filipovic looked in good shape and gave the impression that the fight would be very short.

Already in the first minute of the fight, Mirko took the initiative and after a series of punches, Mizun was clearly stunned. With two kicks with his knees, Cro Cop tore down the Japanese fighter, and with a few more punches he finished him. The referee stopped the fight and it was clear – Cro Cop is back.

- First of all I ask you for a big applause for my adversary – Mirko told the spectators at the Saitama Arena – Much stronger fighters than him refused to fight me. He had courage and I respect that. I have come back and I will need much stronger adversary in my next fights. I am glad to be back in Japan again. Here I feel at home – Mirko concluded, confirming what he had said when he left the UFC, that he simply did not settle down and that he wanted to return to Japan.
